SUMMARY:Carmen Rose Davidson album launch: Sincerely Yours
DESCRIPTION:Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\nSinger-songwriter Carmen Rose Davidson brings her new album ‘Sincerely Yours’ to Oxford this October\, marking the culmination of a decade-long creative journey. \n\n\n\nThe evening promises to showcase Davidson’s unique approach to music – what she calls “contradiction as art form.” Blending theatrical glamour with raw authenticity\, her sound refuses categorisation\, drawing from Gospel\, Blues Rock\, Country\, and 80s influences with equal passion. \n\n\n\n‘Sincerely Yours’ represents Davidson’s most personal work yet\, exploring mental health\, the impact of eating disorders\, scars of domestic violence\, relationships\, faith\, love\, and resilience with unflinching honesty. \n\n\n\nThe album was expedited following a personal loss earlier this year\, adding urgency to songs that were already deeply felt. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavidson’s credentials speak for themselves – performances at the BBC\, The Roundhouse\, Camden\, and The Queen’s Jubilee have established her as a strong live performer. Her multicultural background and genre-blending approach create something distinctly her own in today’s music landscape. \n\n\n\nThe Bullingdon provides the perfect intimate setting for an artist who describes her mission as creating “real music for real feelings.” Expect powerhouse vocals\, genuine storytelling\, and an evening that celebrates both the beautiful and broken aspects of human experience. \n\n\n\nThis isn’t just an album launch – it’s an invitation into Davidson’s world\, where vulnerability meets strength and authenticity reigns supreme. \n\n\n\nTo check out Carmen’s vibe please visit carmenrosedavidson.co.uk & Youtube @carmenrosedavidson \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nThe event will run on a donation basis. SUMMARY:Unlock the Past: MOX Family Fun Day
DESCRIPTION:Unlock the Past: MOX Family Fun Day\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Unlock the Past: MOX Family Fun Day\n\n\n\nFamilies are invited to embark on an unforgettable\, time-travelling adventure at the Museum of Oxford’s free family fun day\, held in celebration of the museum’s 50th birthday. \n\n\n\nFor one special day\, Oxford’s past will come vividly to life as historical characters step out of the city’s centuries-long story to visit the museum’s galleries. Visitors will have the chance to meet St Frideswide\, Oxford’s patron saint\, and Civil War soldiers\, discovering what daily life was like during their eras – and whether it was really so different from today. \n\n\n\nThroughout the day\, guests can take part in hands-on activities and interactive\, history-inspired workshops. The museum’s archaeologist-in-residence\, Dr Digby Rocks\, will reveal the secrets of the trade\, inviting young explorers to uncover artefacts and learn the stories they hold. \n\n\n\nFamilies can also strike Saxon coins\, create pottery\, handle real and replica museum objects\, and enjoy the sounds of Medieval Oxford performed by Ghaetta. Those who love a little make-believe can even dress up in Edwardian elegance or 1970s flair at the themed costume counter. \n\n\n\nThe event is free and designed for families with children aged five and above. However\, if museum spaces reach capacity at any time during the day\, a one-in-one-out policy will be in place\, and visitors may be asked to wait before being admitted. \n\n\n\nThis celebratory event promises a day of discovery\, creativity\, and connection with Oxford’s remarkable history — a fitting tribute to the Museum of Oxford’s 50 years at the heart of the city’s story. \n\n\n\nAccess  \n\n\n\nThere is step-free\, level entry access to the Town Hall via the entrance closest to Carfax Tower (to the left of the main steps as you face the Town Hall). SUMMARY:Grayson Perry: Are You Good?
DESCRIPTION:Grayson Perry: Are You Good?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Grayson Perry: Are You Good?\n\n\n\nAre You Good? A question that I think is fundamental to our humanity. In this show I will be helping you\, the audience\, find out if you really are thoroughly good or maybe quite evil\, but in a fun way. \n\n\n\nI always start out with the assumption that people are born good and then life happens. So\, let’s pull back the curtain and see where your morals truly lie. Are you as virtuous as you think? With lots of audience participation (don’t worry\, no one leaves unscathed) and a few silly songs we’ll have an entertaining evening and come out with our core values completely in tatters. Is it more important to be good or to be right? \n\n\n\nGrayson Perry: Are You Good?\n\n\n\nIt’s time to update what is a virtue and what is a sin. No biggie. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £35.46 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee of £3.95 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nFriday 24 October 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\nThis show has an interval \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nMain auditorium \n\n\n\nAge guidance:  \n\n\n\n18+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Aylesbury Waterside Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nAylesbury Waterside Theatre is a stunning modern venue at the heart of Buckinghamshire’s cultural scene. \n\n\n\nOpened in 2010\, its striking wooden interior takes inspiration from the rolling Chiltern Hills\, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. But prior to being a music venue\, it was a Cooperative party hall. It was originally known as The Venue and then the much-respected Zodiac\, both of which paved the way for O2 Academy Oxford\, which officially launched in September 2007\, with performances from New Young Pony Club\, The Magic Numbers and Young Knives. \n\n\n\nSince then\, the O2 Academy Oxford has established itself as one of the city’s greatest venues for live music and club nights\, with some of the best gigs to date coming from Ed Sheeran\, Foals\, Stereophonics\, Ozzy Osbourne\, Babyshambles\, Hozier and Royal Blood. SUMMARY:Talking Heads
DESCRIPTION:Talking Heads\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Talking Heads\n\n\n\nThe Play’s the Thing Theatre Company presents two classic monologues from Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads: \n\n\n\nA Lady Of Letters \n\n\n\nIrene Ruddock is not afraid to speak\, or rather write\, her mind about society’s faults. She writes to her MP\, the Queen\, the police\, the local crematorium\, and the chemist – in fact\, everyone she can to suggest how to remedy these ills. When she suspects a neighbouring couple of child abuse though things become very serious. \n\n\n\nSoldiering On \n\n\n\nStoicism is seen as a particular strength of the British character and no one is more stoical than Muriel who we meet just after husband Ralph’s funeral. She’s part of the posh “country set” and Ralph has left her a very rich widow\, but there’s a liquidity problem according to son Giles\, and Ralph was apparently not all he seemed either. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nStandard – £18.00 \n\n\n\nMembers – £15.00 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nWednesday 22 October 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Mill Arts Centre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Mill Arts Centre is the cultural hub for Banbury and the surrounding area. \n\n\n\nAs the only dedicated arts provision in the area\, it aims to inspire creativity and enrich the lives of the communities by providing a high-quality\, varied artistic\, educational and participatory programme. \n\n\n\nIt plays a significant role in the town’s cultural\, social and economic development by offering the community the chance to engage with and be entertained by several art forms. \n\n\n\nThe Mill Arts Centre offers an exciting live events programme\, including theatre\, dance\, music\, comedy\, film\, workshops and classes. SUMMARY:Emma
DESCRIPTION:Emma\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Emma\n\n\n\nPresented by Theatre Royal Bath Productions \n\n\n\nBy Jane Austen\, Adapted by Ryan Craig \n\n\n\n“I am going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like.” \n\n\n\nThis autumn\, we celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary with a sparkling new stage adaptation of Emma. This witty and beloved comedy of manners is produced by the Theatre Royal Bath – the city synonymous with so many of Austen’s stories. \n\n\n\nHeadstrong and high-spirited\, Emma Woodhouse – handsome\, clever\, and rich – has sworn never to marry. SUMMARY:Rich Hall: Chin Music
DESCRIPTION:Rich Hall: Chin Music\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Rich Hall: Chin Music\n\n\n\n‘Chin Music’ has two meanings. One is idle talk. The other is a brushback throw in baseball or cricket to intimidate the batter. Both describe Rich Hall’s comedy. Idle but intimidating. \n\n\n\nSharp\, quick\, splenetic\, and sublimely improvisational. \n\n\n\nIf you’ve never seen him\, you need to hustle down to The Theatre and grab a seat because he never disappoints.
