SUMMARY:Sh!t-faced Shakespeare – Hamlet
DESCRIPTION:Sh!t-faced Shakespeare – Hamlet\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Sh!t-faced Shakespeare – Hamlet\n\n\n\nSh!t-faced Shakespeare have toured the world\, broken America\, established themselves on London’s West End\, won numerous awards\, and survived a zero-star review in The Times. In 2025\, they will be celebrating 15 years on the wagon with one of the Bard’s most popular tragedies\, Hamlet. \n\n\n\nFeaturing a cast of professional Shakespearean actors\, this unique production takes an unpredictable twist each night as one performer is chosen to be deliberately intoxicated for up to four hours before showtime. The rest of the cast must then navigate the play\, improvising their way through the unpredictable chaos that springs from their inebriated colleague’s booze-fuelled antics. \n\n\n\nSh!t-faced Shakespeare are excited to once again drunkenly stomp all over the greatest dramatic work ever committed to page in the English language: the story of a privileged whiny lad who goes a bit bonkers and does some stabbings. \n\n\n\n“How the hell did they make it to 15 years?!” we hear you cry. Book now and find out! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nAll Tickets £29.25 \n\n\n\nTicket prices include a £1.00 Restoration Levy\, a £1.50 Booking Fee\, and a 25p Community Fund Levy. \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nWednesday 29 October 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n16+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Kenton Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nSituated in the centre of Henley-on-Thames\, the Kenton Theatre is the fourth-oldest working theatre in the UK and a registered charity. SUMMARY:Carmen Rose Davidson album launch: Sincerely Yours
DESCRIPTION:Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\nSinger-songwriter Carmen Rose Davidson brings her new album ‘Sincerely Yours’ to Oxford this October\, marking the culmination of a decade-long creative journey. \n\n\n\nThe evening promises to showcase Davidson’s unique approach to music – what she calls “contradiction as art form.” Blending theatrical glamour with raw authenticity\, her sound refuses categorisation\, drawing from Gospel\, Blues Rock\, Country\, and 80s influences with equal passion. \n\n\n\n‘Sincerely Yours’ represents Davidson’s most personal work yet\, exploring mental health\, the impact of eating disorders\, scars of domestic violence\, relationships\, faith\, love\, and resilience with unflinching honesty. \n\n\n\nThe album was expedited following a personal loss earlier this year\, adding urgency to songs that were already deeply felt. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavidson’s credentials speak for themselves – performances at the BBC\, The Roundhouse\, Camden\, and The Queen’s Jubilee have established her as a strong live performer. Her multicultural background and genre-blending approach create something distinctly her own in today’s music landscape. \n\n\n\nThe Bullingdon provides the perfect intimate setting for an artist who describes her mission as creating “real music for real feelings.” Expect powerhouse vocals\, genuine storytelling\, and an evening that celebrates both the beautiful and broken aspects of human experience. \n\n\n\nThis isn’t just an album launch – it’s an invitation into Davidson’s world\, where vulnerability meets strength and authenticity reigns supreme. \n\n\n\nTo check out Carmen’s vibe please visit carmenrosedavidson.co.uk & Youtube @carmenrosedavidson \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nThe event will run on a donation basis. Visitors will have the chance to meet St Frideswide\, Oxford’s patron saint\, and Civil War soldiers\, discovering what daily life was like during their eras – and whether it was really so different from today. \n\n\n\nThroughout the day\, guests can take part in hands-on activities and interactive\, history-inspired workshops. The museum’s archaeologist-in-residence\, Dr Digby Rocks\, will reveal the secrets of the trade\, inviting young explorers to uncover artefacts and learn the stories they hold. \n\n\n\nFamilies can also strike Saxon coins\, create pottery\, handle real and replica museum objects\, and enjoy the sounds of Medieval Oxford performed by Ghaetta. Those who love a little make-believe can even dress up in Edwardian elegance or 1970s flair at the themed costume counter. \n\n\n\nThe event is free and designed for families with children aged five and above. DESCRIPTION:Didcot Railway Centre Steam Days\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Didcot Railway Centre Steam Days\n\n\n\nTravel back in time to the golden age of the Great Western Railway and savour the sights\, sounds and smells of steam as you explore this 21-acre living museum with trains dating from Victorian times to the 1960s. \n\n\n\nSteam trains will operate on at least one of the centre’s two demonstration lines\, allowing you to take unlimited rides. On many days\, the second line will be running too and may feature a pioneering diesel railcar\, a heritage diesel locomotive or a small branchline steam engine. Check the Locomotive Roster to see what will be running on the date of your visit. \n\n\n\n\nStroll around the 1932 Engine Shed housing our unique collection of operational and cosmetically-restored locomotives. Find 5900 Hinderton Hall\, climb onto the footplate and listen to Archie\, the driver\, and Stan\, the fireman\, prepare their loco! Listen out for the sounds of a working engine shed and see if you can hear Stan fetch his supplies from Jonah\, the storeman.\n\n\n\nVisit the carriage and wagon display of restored rolling stock from Victorian times to the 1940s\, including the VIP Saloon reputed to have been used by General Eisenhower during the preparations for D-Day and later used in the GWR Royal Train\, and our restoration workshops\n\n\n\nMarvel at Brunel’s Broad Gauge railway\, locomotives\, coaches and transfer shed and don’t miss a section of his not entirely successful ‘Atmospheric Railway’\n\n\n\nGet hands-on in The Signalling Centre where you can find out how trains have been controlled through the ages.  The Swindon Panel is demonstrated on certain specified dates.\n\n\n\nDescend into a shelter built to keep Didcot’s enginemen safe in WWII and experience an air raid\n\n\n\nImmerse yourself in the huge and varied collection of fascinating\, smaller items in the Museum. \n\n\n\nDiscover some GWR road vehicles in the Road Transport Hangar.\n\n\n\n\nChildren can also make tracks to the outdoor play area or dress up as a station master. You can relax over lunch or enjoy a snack in the refreshment rooms\, and don’t forget to pick up a souvenir in the gift shop. The modern trains running past the centre complete the picture and mean you can experience over 180 years of railway progress in just one day. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nAdmission for 2 people with Tea & Cake (Gift Aid) – £53.00                        \n\n\n\nAdult Admission (Gift Aid) – £20.50       Senior Admission (65+) (Gift Aid) – £19.00       Child Admission (Gift Aid) – £13.00                                         Child Under 3 Admission (FREE) (Gift Aid) – £0.00 \n\n\n\nFamily of 4 Admission (Gift Aid) for 2 Adults and 2 Children – £61.00                              Family of 5 Admission (Gift Aid) for 2 Adults and 3 Children – £72.00                              Carer Admission (Gift Aid) – £0.00 \n\n\n\nAdmission prices are inclusive of all regular attractions including free train rides on running days. \n\n\n\nChild prices apply to children aged 3 to 15 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGood to know\n\n\n\n\nDidcot Railway Centre will be open at 10.30am\, with the last entries at 2.30pm.\n\n\n\nYou are welcome to stay until close at 4.00pm.\n\n\n\nPlease have your original e-ticket ready to show the staff. \n\n\n\nPlease also bring your membership card if you’re a member or your carer’s ID if you have booked a carer’s ticket.\n\n\n\nOn arrival at Didcot Parkway Station\, please show your ticket to GWR staff\, who will let you through the barrier.
