SUMMARY:St Giles’ Fair 2026
DESCRIPTION:St Giles’ Fair at Oxford City Centre\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout St Giles’ Fair 2026\n\n\n\nSt Giles’ Fair 2026 will take place on Monday 07 and Tuesday 08 September\, from 11.00am to 11.00pm on both days. \n\n\n\nSt Giles’ Fair is one of the greatest and most prestigious in the country. The fair dates back to 1625 when it was a parish festival to celebrate the feast of the patron saint\, St Giles\, and is held on the Monday and Tuesday following the first Sunday after St Giles’ Day (01 September). \n\n\n\nIn the 18th century\, it was a toy fair\, and then in the early 19th century\, it was a general children’s fair. The funfair grew during mid and late Victorian times when improved means of transport meant that large numbers of people could be brought into the city to attend the festivities. It was also when the forerunners of today’s rides were first developed following advances in mechanical engineering. \n\n\n\nNow run by Oxford City Council\, the St Giles’ fair is probably the largest of its kind in Europe taking up all of St Giles’ even Magdalen Street by Elliston and Cavell’s right up to and beyond the War Memorial\, at the meeting of the Woodstock and Banbury roads. \n\n\n\nThe street is closed to traffic on the two days in September for this traditional fair. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVideo montage\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrequently Asked Questions (FAQs)\n\n\n\nWhen is the St Giles’ Fair in 2026?In 2025\, the St Giles’ Fair will take place on Monday 07 and Tuesday 08 September\, from 11.00am to 11.00pm on both days. The fair normally takes place on the first Monday and Tuesday after the first Sunday after St Giles’ Day (01 September). \n\n\n\nHow much does the St Giles fair cost?Attending the fair is free\, but the rides and amusements have their own individual costs. SUMMARY:Charlbury Farmers’ Market
DESCRIPTION:Charlbury Farmers’ Market\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Charlbury Farmers’ Market\n\n\n\nCharlbury is a Cotswold Market Town with a Charter granted by King Henry III in 1256. \n\n\n\nThe original market place was in Church Street\, but nowadays\, there is too much traffic\, and street closure is not an option. \n\n\n\nThe Playing Close is a superb location\, and the Trustees of Thomas Gifford’s Charity (the landowner) has agreed that the markets can take place there. \n\n\n\nAll the produce comes from within a 50-mile radius of Charlbury and complies with TVFMC rules. The market also allows stalls that promote Charlbury’s many activities\, such as the annual Street Fair\, Beer Festival and Children’s Playgroup. \n\n\n\nThe market takes place quarterly – on the 2nd Saturday of March\, June\, September and December.

SUMMARY:Sam Campbell: Kid Giblet
DESCRIPTION:Sam Campbell: Kid Giblet\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Sam Campbell: Kid Giblet \n\n\n\nWith a signature style that marries absurdist loops and razor-sharp observational wit—from surreal YouTube shorts to mainstream TV and podcast success—Sam continues to evolve as one of the UK’s most distinctive and boundary-pushing comedic talents. \n\n\n\nI definitely don’t know what’s going on. I’m not even sure I know what’s happening anymore. But I cannot wait to come to your town and respect your traditions. I have been on TV over 5 times. May I divulge a secret? I have purchased a large metal ring. \n\n\n\nI will use it to keep all of the keys to the city that are given to me by the mayors I impress with my showmanship. Live comedy is straight up amazing because people gather to watch it in a spectacular setting rather than ogling an evil phone screen in some horrid\, grey\, dank little corner. \n\n\n\nSam Campbell: Kid Giblet\n\n\n\nEdinburgh Comedy Award winner\, Taskmaster champion & surrealist genius Sam Campbell is an Australian comedian who shot to international acclaim after winning the Barry Award for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (2018) and the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show (2022). \n\n\n\nHe conquered Channel 4’s Taskmaster Series 16 in 2023 and has appeared on Would I Lie to You?\, Never Mind The Buzzcocks\, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown\, Guessable\, The Russell Howard Hour\, Live at the Moth Club\, Friday Night Live\, Bloods\, Fisk\, QI and various other comedy panel and sketch shows. \n\n\n\nHe’s also a writer-performer on his Channel 4’s blap ‘Get Real Dude’ and the cult series ‘Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared’. His debut Channel 4 series\, ‘Make That Movie!’ will be released in 2026. \n\n\n\nHe is also the co-host of the podcast ‘Lucy & Sam’s Perfect Brains’ with Lucy Beaumont. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £32.69 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee of £3.95 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nSaturday 12 September 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n16+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years.
