Welcome to the Kidlington edition of The Oxford Magazine
Kidlington is a very large village 5 miles (8 km) north of Oxford with the appearance and many of the facilities of a town. With a population of nearly 14,000 people, it is one of the largest villages in England.
The original village lies around the parish church of St. Mary the Virgin, which is on the northern edge of the village, close to the River Cherwell.
Kidlington has a modern shopping centre, library, a large village hall, market and many modern houses. There are a good number of pubs, cafes and restaurants in or the village centre as well as surrounding areas like Islip, Bletchingdon, Kirtlington, Weston-on-Green and Oddington.
