The councillors welcome the government’s commitment to engage with and consult local communities on its thinking around the future for the Oxford to Cambridge Arc.

A special awards ceremony was held in Cherwell to celebrate the hard work of volunteers and groups who make a real difference in the community.

Planning was granted for two separate schemes on the same plot for maximum flexibility - one for a new single-unit 268,765 sq ft unit and the other for two-units of 172,180 sq ft and 90,298 sq ft.

The council already enforces parking in Oxford City and West Oxfordshire and will now take over from Thames Valley Police in the Cherwell, South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse districts.

Families in north Oxfordshire will once again be able to book children, aged five to eleven years old, onto council-run school holiday hubs this summer.

A combined nomination was made by Oxfordshire’s Regulatory Partners to the Office for Product and Safety Standard (OPSS) Regulatory Excellence Awards 2021.

The Bicester site is the first of 24 council-owned car parks that will have an EV charging hub installed this year under the £5.2 million Park and Charge scheme.

The underbridges were inserted underneath the Marylebone/Aynho line north-west of Bicester between 02 and 05 April, during the East bank holiday weekend.

The Grand Départ of the prestigious 2021 Women’s Tour will begin in the Bicester’s Market Square with riders heading north to finish in the market town of Banbury.

The work will see two structures built to enable access both over and under the railway, connecting two sides of new housing areas in north-west Bicester.
