About Science Oxford: Family Days

Visit the Science Oxford Centre for a unique family day out, open every Saturday throughout the year. Children and adults can explore, discover and play together in the hands-on Exploration Zone, packed with interactive exhibits designed to spark curiosity and creativity.

Experiment with flying designs at the Air Table, build a giant magnetic ball run, discover heat signatures with the Curious Camera, and create fun animations featuring everything from astronauts in space to dinosaurs in a Jurassic world.

Outside, visitors can enjoy 15 acres of woodland and ponds, with nature trails offering plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife. Explorer Backpacks are available to borrow, while the outdoor Water Lab invites children to experiment with water flow, dams and floating objects. Waterproof clothing or a change of clothes is recommended.
