About Formal Gardens Watercolour Workshops at Blenheim Palace
Blenheim Palace is delighted to be hosting a series of exclusive watercolour workshops led by acclaimed Woodstock artist Rod Craig.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Gardens, these creative sessions will be taking place once a month from May until September.
Each workshop begins at the Stables Café before moving into the heart of the Formal Gardens, where centuries of landscape artistry provide endless inspiration for artists of all levels.
About the Artist
Rod Craig lives and works in Woodstock – his walks in the Parkland each morning are a constant source of inspiration for the landscape paintings that he is best known for. He has worked in collections in the UK, Germany and New York and exhibits regularly with galleries and art fairs.
“Watercolour painting is a perfect medium for capturing the energy and the drama of the landscape. I love its vibrancy and fluidity. Whilst it is extremely challenging, it is completely addictive as no other medium offers the same degree of spontaneity. Most of my work is inspired by memories, music and the elements of the landscape.” Rod Craig 2026.
