Wilderness Festival 2021 – 10 Seconds Introduction Film

About Wilderness Festival 2026

Wilderness Festival is a four-day festival combining live music, arts, wellbeing and an array of theatre, artisanship, late-night parties, outdoor pursuits and culinary experiences in the Oxfordshire countryside.

Wilderness is your perfect weekend escape – with an eclectic line-up featuring Music and the Arts, a range of Feasting and Dining experiences, Talks and Debates to inspire, a dedicated Sanctuary catering to your every wellbeing need, a Family Field to keep the little ones entertained, two beautiful swimming lakes and a whole forest ready for you to explore.

Explore a community where genres are redefined, identity is turned on its head and arts from across the spectrum sit side by side. Londonโ€™s most respected institutions bring bespoke works: The Royal Academy of Arts, Southbank Centre, The Roundhouse and The RSA. Life-enhancing and decadently surreal. All with a good chance of streakers.

Note that the remaining details on this page are from the 2025 festival and are kept to give you an idea of what to expect in 2026. This page will be updated with information for the 2026 festival as soon as it becomes available.

By bicycle

Our regular bike park is located next to the Pick Up, Drop Off entrance, off the Green Route, most easily accessed via the Green Gate, Southill Drive, OX7 3EW.

Please note, the bike park is fencing only that festivalgoers are able to lock their bikes to. Bikes are left at the ownerโ€™s risk.

Once youโ€™ve parked your bike, you can enter the festival via the Pick Up Drop Off entrance.

If you live locally and are planning to cycle, you may find the Yellow Gate, North Lodge entrance (OX7 3EH) an easier way to access the festival. If you do this, we ask that you lock your bike up neatly against the fence line on the right side of the driveway/road, so as not to block the pedestrian pathway.

You can also cycle round to the bike park, but please note the road from the Green Gate round to the Yellow Gate will be busy with festival traffic, mainly flowing in the opposite direction, through the festival.

By foot

The Yellow Gate, North Lodge entrance, OX7 3EH is the dedicated route for accessing the festival on foot from Charlbury.

This route takes you up the main driveway towards Cornbury House. Upon passing through the North Lodge gate there is a pedestrian/local box office on your left where you can scan your mobile QR code in return for a festival wristband. If you have any problems with your pass theyโ€™ll also be able to help solve this for you here.

Once you have your wristband there is a fenced-off pedestrian walkway that runs along the grass verge, up the side of the driveway, taking you straight up to the pedestrian arena entrance, bringing you into the arena next to the main Wilderness Stage.

Please ensure you use this dedicated walkway, as this road is still used throughout the festival for exiting traffic.

Please note โ€“ if youโ€™re accessing the campsites from this route you cannot enter until after 12.00pm on Thursday when the arena is open as you will need to walk through the arena to reach any of the campsites!

If youโ€™re walking home in the evening, please wear bright/reflective clothing and bring a torch as there is minimal lighting along some stretches of the surrounding local roads.

Pedestrian Route Instructions

  • Exit the station and turn right
  • Follow forest road, continuing straight over the bridge and then up a slight incline.
  • Part way up the incline, take the first major turning to your right. This will be at a triangle junction that has a small grassy area with a large tree in its centre.**
  • Follow the sharp right bend, round onto church lane.
  • Continue up this road, with most of the houses on your left hand side, until you reach the entrance to the church yard.
  • Follow the path of the church yard through to the other side โ€“ please be respectful and keep to the path.
  • Once you reach the exit on the other side, turn right and follow the road down and then back up until you reach Yellow Gate in your right.
  • Turn right and walk up the driveway, over the bridge and through North Lodge gate โ€“ be sure to use the pedestrian gate to the right of the cattlegrid. Do not try to talk over the cattlegrid.
  • Once youโ€™re through the gates, the pedestrian box office will be immediately on your left.
  • Have your mobile QR code ready to collect your festival wristbands.
  • Once youโ€™ve collected your wristbands, head up the driveway using the designated walkway, turn left and then immediately cross the road to follow the walkway round to the pedestrian arena entrance.
  • Do not continue to walk down the road to your left, this road is busy with traffic and will not permit pedestrian access to the festival.

** if you carry on straight at this point you will reach the town centre of Charlbury. There are, among other things, a Co-op, deli cafe and pubs. If you do choose to go to any of these, please be respectful and remember there will also be residents going about their day to day life.

What is accessibility at Wilderness Festival?

Wilderness Festival welcomes deaf and disabled guests and is working harder than ever to make the show as accessible as possible for everyone.

The festival operates a companion ticket scheme for eligible guests. Only available for Teen and Adult Tickets. Do not buy a ticket for your companion, as this will not be refunded if theyโ€™re approved for a companion ticket.

Book the required number of festival tickets (minus companion) and then submit supporting documentation via the Accessibility Application Form.

The companion ticket is provided on the expectation that they are willing and able to assist you throughout your visit and would be available and able to help you in the event of an evacuation.

Accessibility customers can book into any campsite and still apply for a companion ticket, but there is also a dedicated Accessibility Campsite for wheelchair users and those with mobility restrictions. This campsite is closest to the arena, has a central car park and a hard road from the entrance.

More information on all this and the accessibile facilities at Wilderness Festival can be found here.

For any other questions regarding accessibility at Wilderness Festival, please email the Festival Republic Accessibility Team at accessibility@wildernessfestival.com.

Please beware of scammers and only buy or sell tickets via trusted resellers, including Ticketmaster. Donโ€™t use other third-party sites, social media and unofficial resellers.

Requests for local weekend tickets for residents within the postcodes OX7 3** and OX29 9** are via the local ticket request form. To secure your request you must visit the Charlbury Community Centre on the registration dates outlined on the form.

Local resident day tickets can be booked on the day, at the festival only, subject to being a resident within the same qualifying postcodes and presenting both proof of address (matching the postcode OX7 3** or OX29 9**) and photo ID, matching the address.

All fees are included in the price of your ticket. The price you see on the Ticketmaster booking page will be the price you pay at check-out (unless any optional extras/postage is added).
