About The Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Great British Dog Walk 2024
Join Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at their Great British Dog Walk as it returns to Waddesdon Manor for its third year!
Enjoy Waddesdon whilst helping Hearing Dogs breed, train and provide life-changing Hearing Dogs for deaf people throughout the UK.
Hearing Dogs help deaf people leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life through their life-changing hearing dogs and personalised hearing support services.
They believe that nobody with hearing loss should feel alone. This is why they train highly skilled hearing dogs that help deaf people by providing constant companionship and alerting them to sounds.
These can be life-saving sounds like the smoke alarm, intruder alarm, and other important sounds such as the oven timer and baby monitor.
They also offer a wide range of personalised hearing support services that address the needs of individuals plus partners, family and friends, helping them to reconnect with life. This combination of practical assistance and emotional support is life-changing.

About Waddesdon Manor

Waddesdon Manor is an extraordinary French Renaissance-style chateau located in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, approximately 14 miles from Bicester and 25 miles from Oxford.
Built between 1874 and 1889 by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild, a member of the prominent Rothschild banking family, the manor is renowned for its opulent architecture, exquisite interiors, and extensive collections of art and decorative objects.
Set amidst picturesque gardens and parklands, Waddesdon Manor offers visitors a glimpse into the lavish lifestyle of the late 19th-century European aristocracy.
Today, it is managed by the Rothschild Foundation, a family charitable trust, on behalf of the National Trust, which took over ownership in 1957. It serves as a cultural destination, hosting exhibitions, events, and educational programs while maintaining its status as one of England’s most cherished historic houses.
