Witney Festival of Food and Drink
18 May 2024 @ 9.30am to 4.30pm

About Witney Festival of Food and Drink 2024
Witney Festival of Food and Drink returns on Saturday, 18 May 2024, at the beautiful medieval Saint Mary’s Church and on Church Green from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The festival draws thousands of visitors each year, with over 3,000 attending in 2023. It is an established part of the Witney Festival season and is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Being a community festival run by local volunteers gives the day a completely different feel from many professional food galas.
People come to experience 60+ artisan stalls selling bread, cakes, cheese, sauces, pies, pancakes, meats, fruit and vegetables, beer, wine, and cider, to name a few.
There is also street food, live music, children’s activities, displays by local clubs, a raffle, and a bar and café – making it a fun day out for food lovers and all the family.
A large fun fair takes place the same day, next door on The Leys, and many fairgoers spontaneously drop into the festival as well.
New for our 10th Anniversary event:
- Sophie Law, who presents the Breakfast Club, weekdays 6.00am to 10.00am on BBC Radio Oxford, is opening the festival.
- Performance Arena on Church Green with local groups demonstrating their skills and talents, for example, Stage Coach, Witney Town Band and martial arts displays.

Good to know
All the money raised by the festival goes to the Parish of Witney, which has responsibility for the maintenance and renewal of St Mary’s so that our town’s ancient House of Prayer can be preserved for future generations.
