Set in the bustling streets of early 20th-century London, Pygmalion tells the story of Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle, dreaming of a better life. Professor Henry Higgins, a brilliant but arrogant linguist bets he can transform Eliza into a ‘duchess’ by teaching her to speak properly. But as the lessons progress, both teacher and pupil discover that identity and self-worth are far more complex than mere speech and social status.
A sharp critique of the British class system, Pygmalion combines wit, humour, and social commentary, challenging audiences to reflect on the nature of transformation and the true meaning of independence.
