About Toby Sebastian
English musician and actor Toby Sebastian heads out on tour, bringing a fresh take on nostalgic folk, soul, and pop with dreamy guitars, breezy melodies, and his distinct wide-reaching husky vocals.
Toby Sebastian, born Sebastian Toby M. Pugh on 26 February 1992 in Oxford, is a British actor and musician renowned for his versatile talents in both fields.
Sebastian gained prominence portraying Trystane Martell in the fifth and sixth seasons of HBO’s Game of Thrones. His acting repertoire includes roles in films such as After the Dark (2013), Barely Lethal (2015), and The Red Tent (2014). Notably, he starred as Andrea Bocelli in the biographical film The Music of Silence (2017), directed by Michael Radford, where he depicted the early life of the famed tenor.
Sebastian’s musical journey began with his participation in the 2008 talent competition Orange unsignedAct, where he showcased his original compositions. Following this, he secured a record deal and spent time in London, Los Angeles, and Nashville, honing his craft.
In 2013, he released his debut album Into the Light. His music, influenced by 60s and 70s rock and soul, reflects his upbringing in a musically rich household. His discography also includes the EP Hamliar (2019) and singles like “No Money,” “Train to Mexico,” and “Midnight,” the latter featuring his sister, Florence Pugh.
Sebastian hails from a creative family; his sister, Florence Pugh, is an acclaimed actress known for roles in Little Women and Black Widow. Raised in Oxford, he spent part of his childhood in Andalusia, Spain, alongside his three sisters. Their father, Clinton Pugh, is a restaurateur, and their mother, Deborah, is a dance teacher.

About O2 Academy Oxford

The Edwardian building on Cowley Road has been hosting live music for decades. But prior to being a music venue, it was a Cooperative party hall. It was originally known as The Venue and then the much-respected Zodiac, both of which paved the way for O2 Academy Oxford, which officially launched in September 2007, with performances from New Young Pony Club, The Magic Numbers and Young Knives.
Since then, the O2 Academy Oxford has established itself as one of the city’s greatest venues for live music and club nights, with some of the best gigs to date coming from Ed Sheeran, Foals, Stereophonics, Ozzy Osbourne, Babyshambles, Hozier and Royal Blood. Visit the venue information page for further details, including opening times, getting there, age restrictions and more.
