OU Philharmonia: Dvorak No.9
21 May 2025 @ 7.30pm

About OU Philharmonia: Dvorak No.9
Following the success of our last concert featuring soloist Tom Bruges in Rodrigo’s Concerto de Aranjuez and selections from the ballet Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky, OUPhil are delighted to return to the Sheldonian Theatre under the baton of newly appointed conductor Joe Sollis.
We will be bringing you a vibrant and eclectic programme featuring Dvořák’s iconic Symphony No.9 (“from the New World”), preceded by Florence Price’s mesmerising Concert Overture No.2 and the dynamic Danzon No.2 by Arturo Márquez.
Join us for an exhilarating evening of orchestral music from across the American continent where the orchestra are set to shine with their versatility and virtuosity!
