Party for the Planet!
05 June 2025 @ 3.30pm to 8.00pm

About Party for the Planet!
Join us at the ‘Party for the Planet’!
We are celebrating local action to fight climate change and restore nature at a unique party in Broad St. in Oxford on Thursday 05 June. There’s a lot of great work being done in Oxfordshire and it seems like the time to celebrate it!
There’s live music, food and drink, guest speakers and stalls. The event will kick-start Great Big Green Week- the UK’s largest celebration of positive action to protect our planet.
The event will follow on from ‘Right Here, Right Now’ – a major conference at the Sheldonian Theatre on climate change and human rights being organised by Oxford University and the United Nations. Speakers at our event will include the UN ‘Special Rapporteur on Climate and Human Rights.
The event is supported by Oxford City and Oxfordshire County Councils, BBOWT (the local Wildlife Trust), Oxford University. and all the other people on the poster.
Music will include Oxford’s great ‘Guerilla Ceilidh’ band – playing music to dance as well as to listen to, and Samba Sol, celebrating Brazilian music – the next Climate COP conference will be in Brazil.
