About Dinosaur Plants Family Day
On Wednesday 27 August 2025, Harcourt Arboretum invites families to discover the world of plants that lived alongside the dinosaurs.
From 11.00am to 3.00pm, visitors can explore palaeobotany, ancient plants and fossils, and learn about mosses, ferns, ginkgo and conifers.
The day also includes the chance to see special plant fossils from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History’s Earth Collections, enjoy dino-themed arts and crafts, and even try weaving a willow belemnite or prehistoric fish.
The event costs £3 per child (under 2s free). Adults pay the standard Arboretum entry fee. No booking is required – simply drop in and pay on arrival.
