About Carlos Acosta’s Carmen
Created by Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta, this version of Carmen is set to Rodion Shchedrin’s orchestration of Bizet’s opera score, injected with Cuban music and danced by Acosta’s impressive Havana-based company.
Aflamenco-Cuban-ballet contemporary mashup bursting with energy and inventive choreography.

Carlos’s take on the classic and powerful opera lays bare the story’s universal and timeless themes in a sparse and powerful setting.
