About Shostakovich 5 with Oxford University Philharmonia
Following the success of their last concert featuring Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, OUPhil are delighted to return to the Sheldonian Theatre under the baton of conductor Joe Sollis.
They will present a programme showcasing Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5, preceded by Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Ruth Gipps’ Symphony No. 2.
Audiences are invited to join them for an exhilarating evening of orchestral music, where the orchestra is set to shine with exceptional versatility and virtuosity.
