Organ Recital with Stefan Donner
28 October @ 12.00pm

About Organ Recital with Stefan Donner
Oxford Town Hall will host an organ recital with Stefan Donner in the venue’s impressive Main Hall, showcasing the renowned Father Willis Organ.
Built in the late 19th century by celebrated English organ builder Henry Willis, the historic instrument is an imposing feature of the Main Hall and provides a fitting setting for an afternoon of live organ music.
It is particularly notable because the instrument has been preserved remarkably close to its original form. The main alteration was the replacement of its original water-powered mechanism with an electric blower in 1926.
Audiences are invited to enjoy a relaxed lunchtime concert, with guests welcome to bring a packed lunch, while tea and coffee will also be provided. The informal setting offers an opportunity to experience the character and distinctive sound of one of Oxford’s best-known historic concert organs.
