Oxford Real Farming Conference 2026
08 January @ 9.00am to 09 January @ 5.00pm

About Oxford Real Farming Conference 2026
The UK’s agroecological and food sovereignty movement will gather once again in Oxford for its 17th annual Oxford Real Farming Conference (ORFC). The event brings together practitioners of nature-friendly farming with scientists, activists, policymakers and all those with a serious interest in shaping the future of food and agriculture.
From hands-on regenerative farming techniques to deeper debates on achieving radical food system transformation, ORFC provides a unique platform for forging alliances, exchanging knowledge and collectively working toward a fairer food and farming system. The conference is known for uniting “mud-on-the-boots” farmers and growers with pioneering thinkers at the forefront of change.
ORFC in-person tickets consistently sell out, making early booking essential. The organisers offer tiered ticketing to ensure that the event remains accessible and reflective of the diverse and radical community it represents.
Across two full days, attendees can expect more than 145 in-person talks and interactive workshops, including over 45 livestreamed sessions. The 2026 programme will feature leading voices from the front lines of farming, policy specialists, food system activists, Indigenous knowledge-holders, agroecological researchers and others driving innovation and advocacy in the sector.
Topics explored this year will include:
- Farming to Protect Rivers
- Innovations in Dual Purpose Livestock
- Crops for a Changing Climate
- The Debate on Glyphosate
- Plastic-Free Agriculture
- Migrant Landworker Rights
- Indigenous Wisdom and Growing Practices
- Financing Agroecological Farming
- Tackling Farming’s Mental Health Crisis
- Countering Corporate Power in Food Systems
- Unlocking Farm Surplus to Fight Hunger
- Solidarity with Palestinian Landworkers
An online ticket will provide access to more than 45 sessions livestreamed from Oxford, while an in-person ticket allows entry to all 145+ sessions, including recordings of the livestreamed content for later viewing.
Alongside its extensive speaker programme, ORFC will also feature social events, live music and sustainably sourced food, offering participants a rich and engaging experience both inside and outside the conference halls.
