Bidwells has appointed Sam Potts as head of its Oxford office, effective 01 January 2026, reinforcing the firm’s leadership presence in one of the UK’s most significant science and innovation markets.
A partner at Bidwells, Sam brings nearly a decade of expertise in the science and technology sector and more than 20 years of experience working in the Oxford market.
His appointment reflects the firm’s strategic focus on combining deep local market insight with national expertise to support clients operating in high-growth, research-led environments.
Sam specialises in the creation of high-performance workspaces for science, research and technology businesses. His work spans university spin-outs, research-led occupiers and expanding innovation-driven organisations, particularly across Oxford and the wider growth corridor.
Through this work, he has played a key role in shaping environments that support collaboration, adaptability and long-term growth.
In addition to his sector specialism, Sam has extensive experience in commercial assets and urban regeneration. His consultancy work on complex infrastructure and development projects has helped establish Bidwells as a trusted adviser on nationally significant regeneration schemes, particularly within Oxford’s life sciences cluster.
In his new role, Sam will bridge local market intelligence with the strategic objectives of Bidwells’ diverse client base across Oxfordshire.
Drawing on a decade of consultancy experience on regeneration projects of national importance, he will support occupiers, investors and institutions as demand grows for increasingly sophisticated property solutions in the UK’s key growth hubs.
