British jazz-funk pioneers Level 42 have announced a five-date UK tour in December 2026, marking 45 years since the release of their self-titled debut album, Level 42, first issued in 1981.
Tickets go on sale at 10.00am on Friday 27 February and will be available via AEG Presents.
The anniversary run begins at Bath Forum on Tuesday 01 December before heading to Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on Wednesday 02 December. The band will then perform at Oxford New Theatre on Thursday 03 December, before concluding with two nights at Indigo at The O2 in London on Friday 04 and Saturday 05 December.
The 1981 debut album was the first chapter in what would become one of Britain’s most successful and enduring careers in jazz funk and pop. Over the past four and a half decades, Level 42 have released 14 studio albums and achieved 18 Top 40 singles.
Among their most celebrated tracks are ‘Lessons in Love’, ‘Something About You’, ‘Leaving Me Now’, ‘Running in the Family’ and ‘Hot Water’ — songs that helped define the sound of 1980s British pop and remain staples of the band’s live shows.
Their commercial success has been equally remarkable. Level 42 have sold out Wembley Arena for a total of 21 nights and have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.
Forty-five years on from that first studio release, the band remain in demand across the globe. The December 2026 dates not only celebrate a major milestone but also offer audiences the opportunity to see one of Britain’s most popular and enduring bands performing live.
With their signature blend of virtuoso musicianship, infectious grooves and timeless songwriting, Level 42’s 45th anniversary tour is set to be one of the standout live events of winter 2026.
