Gather your friends for a luxury summer stay at The White Hart

For a summer gathering that combines countryside calm with generous entertaining space, The White Hart is offering a distinctive group stay on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Available through Arlington & Row, the carefully restored former public house in Leonard Stanley has been transformed into a private self-catering home with nine bedrooms, sleeping up to 21 guests.

The property blends original character with contemporary comfort, retaining features such as its wooden bar while introducing elegant interiors, curated artworks and modern additions including a hot tub for long evenings outdoors.

Positioned at the heart of the village, the house looks onto the green and church at the front, with open views towards rolling Cotswold hills behind. The building also carries cultural history, having once served as a meeting place for British Modernist artists including Stanley Spencer.

Guests can walk directly from the front door towards the Cotswold Escarpment, with views stretching across the Thames Valley towards Wales, or visit nearby Stroud, known for its farmers’ market, independent food scene and Woodchester Valley Vineyard.

A welcome hamper of local produce and flowers is included, while extra supplies can be collected from the nearby farm vending point at Godsell Cheese, offering milk, eggs, cheese, honey, biscuits and milkshakes.

Rates start from £920 per night with a minimum two-night stay. Rail connections from London reach Stonehouse in around 90 minutes.
