About Helen & Douglas House Charity Comedy Gala

Back by popular demand, the Helen & Douglas House Charity Comedy Gala returns in 2027!

A roaring success for the last two years, Helen & Douglas House is back with another star-studded evening of comedy, hosted by Matt Richardson and friends. This one-night-only event brings together a stellar lineup of the country’s finest comedians*, all performing for a fantastic cause.

With proceeds going to support local children with life-limiting illnesses, you can enjoy an unforgettably hilarious evening while making a difference in your community.

Meet your host, Matt Richardson

Having started stand-up at just 18 years old, Matt is now a fixture at all the major comedy clubs in the UK and has performed overseas on countless occasions.

Matt is a seasoned TV and radio host and has presented shows such as The Extra Factor (ITV2), The Hangover Games (E4) and Virgin Radio’s Drive Time Show.

His other TV appearances include Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Celebrity Juice (ITV) and pretty much any spin-off show you can name!

This year’s lineup will feature an all-new selection of the UK’s funniest comedians. With previous acts including Ed Byrne, Zoe Lyons and Angela Barnes, you know you’re in for some solid comedy gold.
