About The Slip
University of Oxford Student Season: Trinity Term 2026
By Orla Wyatt
Four friends. A collision. A truth that threatens to eat them alive. Orla Wyatt’s second play is a dark and gripping drama about friendship, deceit, and betrayal.
The Slip invites the audience into the friends’ living room the day after a terrible accident as they comfort, question and backstab each other. It explores what happens when a life altering event tugs at the frayed rope of long-term friendship, and asks what is better: to double down or snap?
Wide Eye Productions presents a suspenseful and chilling fly on the wall perspective of the deterioration of trust amongst four people who thought they knew each other…
In the aftermath of the interrogation room, who will stick to the story and who will slip?
