The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum Flower Show
Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum will be unveiling a flower show for the first time this summer. The show, entitled From Battlefields to Blooms will run from Thursday 09 July to Sunday 12 July 2026, featuring arrangements by Bladon & Woodstock, Oxford, and Abingdon Flower Club.
Members of the three local clubs have spent time planning in the museum galleries, utilising the spaces in new and creative ways while responding to the stories featured in SOFO’s permanent exhibitions.
The stunning work of the featured Flower Clubs has previously been seen in displays at Dorchester Abbey and Abingdon’s 2019 Fashion in Flowers show.
The arrangements on display in the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum galleries will follow themes such as Dig for Victory, Botanical Remedies and Lives Lost in the Trenches.
You can have your military loved ones or armed forces ancestors remembered alongside the displays on one of our In Memoriam panels.
There is a form on the event website to add the details of the person you would to commemorate, and make a donation via the Charities Aid Foundation.
