Armchair Talks at Blenheim Palace
28 July @ 6.00pm

About Armchair Talks at Blenheim Palace
Usually on the last Tuesday of the month, at 6.00pm, The Stables Cafe will host an array of interesting talks by guest speakers from across Blenheim Palace and beyond into the surrounding Estate and community.
Covering a fascinating range of topics, the talks are a great insight into the amazing work that makes this a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
David Green, Head of Innovation at Blenheim Palace, will talk about the innovative methods used at Weavely Solar Farm on the outskirts of Woodstock to measure biodiversity, soil quality, animal and insect habitat, and air quality.
These include the use of a complex monitoring system that tracks environmental data across the site over time, rather than relying on one-off assessments; a moth selfie box and a robotic dog!
Together, these tools give a much more detailed and ongoing picture of how a solar farm affects the land around it than traditional surveying methods ever could.
