About Death Café
We all share the knowledge that one day we shall die.
Death Cafes, supported by experienced facilitators, offer a safe place for people of all ages and beliefs (or none) to come together and share open, relaxed conversations around death and dying over tea and cake.
Far from being awkward or morbid, these discussions are informative, open, friendly and supportive. There can even be humour, as people begin to make connections, ask questions and find relief in talking openly with others who share similar thoughts, fears or experiences.
Meeting point is at The Old Fire Station Cafe.
It’s free, but please turn up a few minutes early so it can be started promptly; these meetings can by their very nature be fairly intimate and ask you not to arrive late or leave early if you possibly can. Cafe facilities are sadly closed currently so you’re welcome to bring your own drinks. Biscuits are provided and a small donation is gratefully accepted.

About The Old Fire Station
The Old Fire Station in Oxford is an arts centre with a unique social mission, combining creativity with community impact. Located in the city centre, it hosts a vibrant programme of theatre, exhibitions, music, comedy, and workshops.
