Verdi Requiem

About Verdi Requiem

From the drama of the Dies irae and the poignancy of the Lacrymosa, to the beauty of the Agnus Dei and the thrill of the Sanctus, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem is deservedly one of the composer’s most beloved works.

Joined by the wonderful players of Oxford Sinfonia and a magnificent quartet of soloists, East Oxford Community Choir alongside guest singers from Bonn, Dublin and Wroclaw and under the baton of James Longstaffe, presents Verdi’s choral masterpiece in a dynamic performance that will capture both the power and intimacy of the piece.
