The Halloween Ghost Tour returns for Ghost Fest 2025!
Tis’ the Halloween season and the veil between our world and the next is starting to thin at Oxford Castle & Prison.
With over 1000 years of gruesome history, Oxford Castle & Prison has seen more than its fair share of horror!
Join the guides as they take you on an atmospheric journey through the castle; uncovering some of the most grisly tales of its inhabitants, some of whom are still said to roam the grounds.
The Spooky Tour includes some of the most haunting areas of the site which are usually off-limits to the public, including the Punishment Cells.
Join in an immersive and atmospheric tour of the Castle & Prison, with some jumps, scares and jokes along the way!

Friday 24 to Friday 31 October 2025 at 6.30pm
Tours at 6.30pm, 7.00pm, 7:30pm, 8.30pm, and 9.00pm
The tour lasts for 50 minutes
