Love Harry Potter? Can’t get enough of the books or the movies? Then you’ll certainly want to catch Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre in the West End.
Based on original new material by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the series and the first Harry Potter tale to be brought to life on stage.
The critically acclaimed production received its world premiere in the West End in the summer of 2016, and it remains the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, scooping a record‐breaking nine awards, including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017.
It was always difficult being Harry Potter, and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
This is one play presented in two parts, seen in order on the same day – matinee and evening.
