The pool, which closed at the end of July, will remain closed for the initial task of installing heat pumps as part of decarbonisation works to be carried out in the plant room.
A project will see gas boilers at the leisure centre swimming pools replaced with heat pumps that transfer heat from the air or water, which will cut carbon emissions by around 21%.
Oxford City Council announced the four week closure from Saturday 31 July for enable the removal of asbestos debris found in the plant room that heats the swimming pools at the centre.
