Witness hundreds of rare and priceless cars, driven by champions past and present, competing for the most coveted trophies in historic motorsport, including the St Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul, and the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration.
The event is defined by its period dress code: tweeds and trilbies for men, furs and frocks for the ladies, and by its refusal to allow modern cars within the circuit on race days. The fabulous style of the 1940s – 60s is not one that can be emulated, but the Revival is a place where this era of fashion is not just the norm – it is celebrated and cherished.
The Revival always attracts the finest in historic motor racing talent – and a host of famous faces from the motorsport world and beyond. Each year it welcomes the biggest names in historic motorsport, as well as many famous faces from the wider world of motorsport and celebrities involved in the St Mary’s Trophy.
Revival Fashion is an exciting new area totally dedicated to vintage style with daily fashion shows. Mark and Cleo Butterfield are the proud owners of what might well be the finest collection of vintage clothing in Europe, which will be showcased through a live catwalk show at The Emporium every day during Revival.
Each day at 3:00 pm a panel of fashion experts short-list the people with the finest outfits to take part in the daily “Best Dressed” competition presented by MasterCard. This sartorial element of the Revival has become as important to the occasion as the cars on the track.
Working alongside several major modern brands, the Revival creates a homage to the classic High Street. Here, the goal is the celebration of heritage and retro design, now also home to the Revival Fashion Shows, too. You can buy gifts and memorabilia, but over and above a shopping experience it is a trip down memory lane.
The Freddie March Spirit of Aviation is a magnificent concours d’elegance for pre-1966 aircraft and brings together some of the most elegant and rarely-seen machines from the history of aviation. This year, we are delighted to announce that we are celebrating 100 years of the RAF at Revival.
Boogie to the sounds of swing and jive in the Richmond Lawn marquee and Veuve Clicquot Bar. You can also join in the daily dance workshops, for both beginners and advanced dancers.
Browse and array of pre-66 and tax-exempt vehicles on display across the road in what can only be described as the largest classic car park. There’ll be thousands of classic cars all lined up for your viewing pleasure – all belonging to our Revival guests.
Everything at the Revival is from the 1940s-to-1960s era. Everything, that is, apart from the Earls Court Motor Show, where the finest brands in the world juxtapose their classic models with the latest in their production line.
Don’t be fooled into thinking all the fun takes place within the Motor Circuit. Cross the bridge taking you – literally – over the Road, and you open the door to a whole world of jollity, including the Revival Cinema presented by Sky Cinema, Butlin’s Roller Disco, Fairground and Bonhams Auction.
The Goodwood Revival is as much about recreating the fashion and culture of the post-war years as it is about historic racing cars. Nowhere else can you see this combination of world-class historic racing cars, aircraft and vintage style in one place.
The Goodwood Revival takes place from Friday 07 to Sunday 09 September and promises to be an all-encompassing spectacle of thrilling on-track action, stunning aerial displays, fine food, retro glamour and vintage fashion.
