About Summer Family Fun: Treasured
Families are invited to enjoy a summer of free activities at Blackwell Hall in Weston Library, inspired by the Bodleian’s Treasured exhibition.
Children can take part in trails, storytime sessions, crafts and keepsake printing, with plenty to discover for all ages.
Highlights include doodling on a giant colouring roll, exploring the Toddleian space for little ones, and trying out hands-on activities such as matching book-making materials through history.
Special pop-up events will also run on selected dates, including a curator’s mini tour, meet-and-greet sessions with guide dogs, and a visit to the Bodleian Book Hospital where conservation experts share tips on caring for books.
Sessions take place on Thursday 31 July, Friday 8 August, Friday 15 August, Friday 22 August and Thursday 28 August 2025, between 11am and 3pm. Free and drop-in, no booking required. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
