Autumn is returning to High Lodge Farm, and this Halloween there’s a brand-new mystery waiting in the woods…

Every Halloween, the Midnight Moon glows above High Lodge Farm, filling the woodland with a little autumn magic. But this year, something has gone wrong, the Midnight Moon is beginning to fade.

The creatures of the forest need your help to bring back its glow.

Set off on the Midnight Moon Mystery, a magical 1km woodland trail filled with spooky surprises, mischievous skeletons and curious characters. Follow the clues, find the hidden letters and discover the secret word that will restore the Midnight Moon before Halloween night.

Once you’ve solved the mystery, there’s plenty more autumn fun to discover. Wander through the Pumpkin Patch to choose your perfect pumpkin, get creative with pumpkin painting and Halloween crafts, and burn off some energy in the Giant Play Patch, with straw bale play, rustic farm equipment, giant games and the vintage tractor.

Then hop aboard our spooky barrel ‘ghost’ train for a bumpy ride around the farm, toast marshmallows by the fire and tuck into hot chocolates, seasonal treats and plenty of warming food.

It’s a whole day of pumpkins, woodland adventures, creativity and outdoor Halloween fun for little adventurers and their grown-ups.

• Entry to our Pumpkin Patch & Photo Stations (pumpkins purchased separately)
• The Midnight Moon Mystery 1km woodland trail and activity sheet
• All-day access to the Giant Play Patch
• A free sweet treat for every child
• Access to the food and refreshment area, serving hot and cold drinks, cakes, burgers, chips, toasties and seasonal treats

Pumpkin painting will also be available this year for a small additional charge, with everything little artists need to transform a pumpkin into their own Halloween creation.

Ticket prices:

Adult – £6.95

Child (aged 1 to 17) – £8.95

Child (under 1) and Carer – Free

Dates & times:

The Halloween event will run on the following dates.

10 & 11, 17 & 18 and 24 to 31 October

Gates open between 10.00am and 4.30pm with the last entry at 2.30pm. During half-term week we’ll be open until 8.00pm on selected days.

SEND sessions will run 9.00am to 10.00am for SEND children and their families only.

Good to know

• Tickets are required for everyone attending and entry is by a timed arrival slot. Simply choose your preferred 30-minute arrival window when booking. Once you’ve arrived, you’re welcome to stay, explore and enjoy the event at your own pace. Stay all day if you like!
• Parking is free and the event closes at 4.30pm or 8.00pm (Twilight Sessions). Please have your booking barcode ready for scanning when you arrive.

• Tickets are non-refundable unless we’re forced to cancel the event, in which case you’ll receive a full refund.
• This is an outdoor event and we’ll generally be open whatever the weather, so wellies, warm layers and weather-appropriate clothing are highly recommended.
• If you create an account when booking, you can move your tickets to another available date if your plans change.
• Pumpkins, pumpkin painting, barrel train rides and marshmallow toasting are not included in the standard ticket price and can be purchased separately.
