About 1971- The Greatest Year in Rock and Roll

Jesse Smith presents 1971 – The Greatest Year in Rock and Roll.

After the collapse of the Beatles, a new generation of artists were posturing for the top spot; leading to an avalanche of creation and the greatest songs in the history of popular music.

Featuring the greatest songs from Carole King, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, T-Rex, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, John Lennon, George Harrison, Rod Stewart, The Carpenters and dozens more.

This new show celebrates the pinnacle of rock n roll music from the year that changed everything.

Jesse Smith has been the voice of dozens of projects including The Classic Rock Show, Led Zeppelin Symphonic, The SAS Band (with Roger Taylor), Earl Slick, Gutterdammerung, the West End’s Thriller Live and since 2022 has performed to millions on the UK’s biggest television show – Strictly Come Dancing.

Joining Jesse is a seven-piece all-star band featuring very special guest Hayley Sanderson who has been the voice of Strictly Come Dancing for the last decade, she has also toured and worked with the likes of Rick Wakeman, Niles Rodgers & Gilbert O’Sullivan to name but a few. In 2023 she co-wrote the single ‘Golden’ for Joss Stone & the Lorraine change + check campaign which went to #1 in the UK.
