The summer of 2025 is set to finish on a high note with the return of the Cornbury House Horse Trials, scheduled to take place from 10 to 14 September in the stunning Cotswolds at Cornbury House in Charlbury.

Now in its sixth year, this five-day international event continues to establish itself as a premier fixture on the equestrian calendar, showcasing the finest young horses and riders as they compete in dressage, cross-country, and showjumping.

Beyond the world-class equestrian competition, Cornbury House Horse Trials is a celebration for all, whether they be passionate horse enthusiasts, food lovers, or families looking for an unforgettable day out. This year, the event will once again offer a vibrant selection of local produce and entertainment, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.

A taste of the Cotswolds: A major highlight for 2025 is the ‘From the Farm’ initiative, which will bring together some of the region’s finest producers, including Cornbury Farm, Bruern Farm, and Honeydale Farm. Visitors can expect a rich selection of locally sourced food and drink, celebrating the very best of Cotswold agriculture and gastronomy.

David Howden, founder and president of Cornbury House Horse Trials, shared his enthusiasm for the event’s evolution: “I can’t wait for this year’s Cornbury House Horse Trials. It’s going to be spectacular!

“It will be a fiesta of sport with great British Olympians and international competitors vying for the title of Leading Rider while the next generation of eventers showcase their skills. It will be a feast of the senses with exceptional food and drink on the menu for all our visitors to savour.

“And it will be a celebration of the thoroughbred, with a brand-new class dedicated to former racehorses that carries an unprecedented first prize of £45,000. We’re going to show how these incredible athletes can have meaningful careers far beyond racing.

“Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Oxfordshire countryside, this year’s event will truly raise the bar and firmly put Cornbury House Horse Trials on the map.”

Cornbury House Horse Trials has partnered with Pol Roger, along with Clarence Court Eggs, Pragnell, Volare Aviation, Brown Advisory, and Mirabeau, all of whom contribute to the prestige and success of this remarkable event.

With an unparalleled blend of world-class sport, outstanding hospitality, and an immersive Cotswold experience, Cornbury House Horse Trials 2025 promises to be an unmissable highlight of the equestrian season.
