HARE Oxfordshire Hair Studio named finalist in four major industry awards

HARE, the innovative Oxfordshire Hair Studio brand founded by brothers James and George Talbot, with salons in Eynsham, Witney and Woodstock, has announced that it has been named a finalist in four leading hairdressing industry awards this year.

The HARE team have been shortlisted for:

  • Modern Barber Awards – Best Business Leader, James Talbot
  • Hair Pro Awards – Salon of the Year
  • Hair & Beauty Awards – Best Business Branding
  • Hair & Beauty Awards – Barber Shop of the Year

Commenting on the accolades, James Talbot, Co-founder at HARE, said: “It’s a massive honour to be recognised for our passion, skill and dedication, which we couldn’t do without the support of our awesome team, clients and supporters who make HARE the creative, community-driven hub it is today.”

The HARE Studio concept is refreshingly unique in that the team offer a blend of high-quality hairdressing and barbering services at fair, transparent prices. HARE’s unique unisex model and inclusive approach mean that clients pay only for what they need, ensuring exceptional hair care without unnecessary and costly extras.

James said: “We quickly realised when we conceived the HARE concept that women were paying a premium for a service that, technically, is often easier than gents’ barbering. We saw an opportunity for affordable, efficient hairdressing, without the unnecessary fluff.

“Sometimes,  our female clients don’t want or need to have their hair washed and blow-dried; they just want to come in and have a quick, funky trim.

“We are completely different to anyone else in that we offer fully flexible and personal hair services to fit in with our clients’ busy lifestyles. They can have whatever they want, and we empower them to choose.

“Our transparent pricing model has been really well received with our growing customer base as a refreshing antidote to the industry standard.”

Sustainability and supporting the community are also key facets of the HARE approach, reflecting their commitment to a better, greener future. HARE have partnered with The Green Salon Collective, which works to provide Zero-to-Landfill Salon Recycling Solutions for Hairdressers in the UK & Ireland. The HARE team turns its salon waste into useful materials, recycling waste hair in over 10 different ways, from oil spill cleanups to composting.

Passionate about community, HARE has donated over 15k for local charities and sponsors Witney Rugby Angels.  The team has previously worked with Oxford Fashion Week and continues to innovate and inspire at local creative events and happenings around Oxfordshire.

James added: “HARE is more than just about hair. We’re a family of talented pros who love to create, share and care by supporting local charities and clubs in our community.  From fresh fades to funky fringes, we believe in offering gender fair pricing in a walk-in, relaxed environment.

“We are thrilled with this industry recognition, just as our new summer collections have launched, freshly inspired by my travels in Mexico and Sri Lanka.  We can’t wait to start styling them with our clients.”
