A major developer, Persimmon Homes, is set to host four events across two counties to help first-time buyers get on the housing ladder later this month.
Persimmon Homes Wessex will be opening its showhome doors on 26 July to those looking for their dream house, with a financial advisor on hand to give professional advice.
These events will be taking place at its sites – Wellington Gate in Wantage and Valley Park in Didcot, both based in the Vale of White Horse District in Oxfordshire.
The sales team is also hosting an event for two Wiltshire sites at its Jubilee Gardens development in Warminster. Here, would-be customers can explore options for this site as well as the under-construction Highfield Gardens outlet, situated in Trowbridge.
The developer, whose properties are already around 20% less expensive than its competitors due to its economies of scale and home-owned brick and timber factories, also has support programmes for potential customers.
Its Gen H New Build Boost is a mortgage with an interest-free boost where, with just a 5% deposit, Persimmon can provide an additional 15% interest-free equity loan to help get customers into their very own home. The scheme fills the gap left by the ending of the government-backed Help to Buy scheme, providing access to an 80% LTV mortgage.
The accredited five-star housebuilder also offers a Deposit Boost, where Persimmon can help customers borrow less by contributing an extra 5% towards their deposit, making it easier for them to secure a more competitive mortgage rate on their new build home.
On the same day, Persimmon’s sister company, Charles Church, will be hosting part-exchange events at Jubilee Gardens and Wellington Gate, giving home-movers an idea of what they can buy on-site by selling their current property to Persimmon.
Those with an interest in attending these events should contact Persimmon Homes Wessex’s sales team via persimmonhomes.com.
Commenting, Persimmon Homes Wessex Sales Director Pauline Fletcher, said: “Persimmon is incredibly proud of our record of catering to first-time buyers, with around half of our sales going towards those getting on the housing ladder every year.
“Buying a house for the first time can feel like a daunting experience that triggers more questions than answers, so we wanted to host these events to help get potential customers some strong, professional financial advice to help them on their house-buying journey.
“We also recognise how much harder it can be for younger people to buy a house in recent years, which is why Persimmon is stepping in with our own support schemes for first-time buyers to achieve the dream of homeownership.
“So, I would all those interested to contact our sales team and find out just how close they already are to buying their high-quality Persimmon home, built by a five-star developer.”
