Oxfordshire’s reputation as one of the UK’s leading innovation centres has been strengthened once again after three fast-growing companies selected Milton Park as the base for their next phase of expansion.
The organisations, operating across environmental consultancy, fusion energy and immersive technology, have all established new premises at the business and science park near Didcot, adding further momentum to one of the country’s largest innovation communities.
Among the arrivals is Next Step Fusion, which has chosen Milton Park for its first UK base as it develops commercial fusion energy technologies. Headquartered in Luxembourg, the company says its new location places it close to the internationally recognised fusion research ecosystem centred around Culham Campus, while providing access to specialist talent and a growing network of science and technology businesses.
Environmental consultancy BSG Ecology has also relocated its Oxford team to Milton Park, moving 15 staff from Cassington into new offices to support continued growth across Oxfordshire and the surrounding region. The consultancy provides ecological planning and environmental advice for clients across a range of sectors.
Completing the trio is Open Reality, a technology distributor specialising in networking, unified communications, wireless connectivity and audio-visual solutions. The company has established its new base at Bee House, supporting its work with IT resellers, managed service providers and systems integrators across the UK.
The three arrivals reflect the increasingly diverse range of businesses choosing Oxfordshire as a base, from companies supporting environmental sustainability to those developing technologies that could play a significant role in future energy production.
Clare Fleet, Asset Manager for Milton Park at Federated Hermes Real Estate, said the latest additions demonstrated the breadth of organisations choosing the Park to support their growth.
She said the businesses represented different stages of development, from companies establishing a first UK presence to growing regional teams seeking room to expand, adding that Milton Park was designed to support organisations throughout their growth journey.

Its proximity to major research facilities, universities and transport links has helped establish the area as one of the UK’s leading centres for innovation, with businesses ranging from life sciences and advanced engineering to space technologies and clean energy.
