The JdP is delighted to be able to welcome back one of the world’s leading cellists, Steven Isserlis, for the final concert of the series, focusing on the instrument associated with Jacqueline du Pré.

Over the past fifteen months, this sequence of concerts has focused on all aspects of the cello repertoire – ranging from works for cello and harpsichord to more recent chamber groupings such as violin and cello, clarinet trio and the two-cello string quintet.

This concert, which focusses on works by cello composers, also inaugurates a new instrumental recital series associated with the work of the outstanding pianist, Connie Shih, starting with work for violin and piano next year.
