Tinie Tempah has been announced as the first headliner for August’s Party in the Paddock music raceday weekend at Newbury Racecourse, where he will perform live after racing on Friday 14 August as part of Visit Malta Hungerford Weekend.

The UK music star joins a strong summer line-up at Newbury, following the previously announced July Party in the Paddock headliners.

Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes will perform live after racing on Friday 17 July during the IRE Incentive Raceday, with Ronan Keating closing the July weekend on Weatherbys Super Sprint Day on Saturday 18 July.

Tinie Tempah is one of the most successful and influential British artists of the past two decades. He rose to prominence with the chart-topping single Pass Out and has since achieved seven UK number one singles, platinum-selling albums and major international collaborations with artists including Calvin Harris and Zara Larsson.

A multiple BRIT Award winner and Mercury Prize nominee, Tinie has also built a reputation beyond music as an entrepreneur, fashion figure and cultural tastemaker, while continuing to deliver high-energy live performances.

As part of Newbury Racecourse’s partnership with Visit Malta, one lucky fan attending Tinie Tempah’s live show on Friday 14 August will win a dream holiday to Malta, simply by being present on the day.

Harry Walklin, Marketing Director at Newbury Racecourse, said:

“Excitement has been building for this summer’s Party in the Paddock music racedays since July’s headliners were unveiled and the announcement of Tinie Tempah only adds to the anticipation.
