Grove & Wantage Extravaganza will return on Saturday 13 June 2026 through a new collaboration between The Ray Collins Charitable Trust and Grove Rugby Club.
The partnership brings together two long-established organisations to deliver what organisers describe as the largest and most inclusive family event in the OX12 area.
Running from 12.00pm to 10.00pm at Grove Rugby Club, the event will feature live music, arena displays, children’s entertainment, community showcases, fairground attractions, inflatables, craft stalls, and a wide selection of food and drink vendors.
Organisers say the event aims to strengthen local community spirit, support families and raise funds for residents in need across Grove and Wantage.
The collaboration also marks a new phase for the event, combining the charitable work of the trust with the rugby club’s role in sport, youth development and local engagement.
Support is also being provided by Grove Parish Council and Wantage Town Council to help ensure the event remains safe, accessible and open to all.
Shaun Galloway said:
“The collaboration with Grove Rugby Club is a perfect example of what makes our community special.
“By working together, we can deliver an event that brings joy to thousands of people while raising essential funds for local families.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the Rugby Club, our councils, volunteers, performers, and everyone who helps make the Extravaganza possible.”
Nigel Dixey said he was proud the club was working with the trust to create an event welcoming to everyone.
He added:
“Entry is free. The range of events and activities should be attractive to all age groups and demonstrates the importance of sport and charity working together for the benefit of the whole community.”
Funds raised during the event will support the trust’s work providing emergency food, household essentials, mobility equipment, wellbeing support and community activities across the area.
Local businesses, performers, charities and community groups are being invited to take part through stalls, sponsorship and volunteering opportunities.
