In this elegant Georgian manor house in Oxfordshire, designer Louise Holt’s focus was to recreate a Georgian interior architecture within the main body of the house, ensuring it flowed seamlessly into a more contemporary barn structure. The result, a comfortable and inspiring environment for a busy family of four.

A restrained colour palette, together with oak flooring and joinery, wove together the two halves of the house, creating an interior sympathetic to the elegant symmetry of the Georgian part of the property, and continuing a feeling of light and space throughout. Huge attention was paid to detailing on doors, windows, architraves, wall panelling, finishes, cornicing and mouldings to ensure authenticity.

Artisan quality, weathered pivot Crittall doors and a stone spiral staircase and floor in the barn also built on the modern feel. The interior design of this Georgian manor house in Oxfordshire was completed with a selection of furniture, rugs and decorative lighting.
