Since its creation by Thomas More in his 1516 work of political fiction, the concept of utopia has appeared throughout politics, philosophy and culture.
In this unique collaboration as part of Oxford Ministry for the Future’s two-day takeover of the Schwarzman Centre, Brian Eno and Kim Stanley Robinson curate a journey through the history of utopian thought – from ancient philosophy to climate fiction and planetary futures.
Eno’s music underscores readings by Kim Stanley Robinson alongside other authors and actors, creating a performance as reflective as it is urgent.
