Based on the Classic Tale by Hans Christian Andersen, adapted by Ron Nicol and presented by Abingdon Drama Club.

Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s timeless tale and brought to life through Ron Nicol’s theatrical adaptation, this epic interpretation blends family friendly storytelling with a raw, atmospheric edge.
With an original score, a magical cast of characters, Abingdon Drama Club would like to invite you to the Unicorn Theatre in Abingdon to witness a sensory experience that’s both haunting and heartwarming.

Founded in 1944, Abingdon Drama Club is one of Oxfordshire’s longest-running amateur theatre groups. Based in the historic Unicorn Theatre, the club stages a wide variety of productions each year—from classic plays and comedies to contemporary dramas and original works.
