Big Country + Evan Peter’s Alarm

About Big Country + Evan Peter’s Alarm
Big Country have announced their Seer 40th Anniversary Tour, joined by Evan Peters presenting The Alarm, taking place across the UK in November and December 2026.
The tour honours the friendship and shared vision of Bruce Watson and Mike Peters, who met a few months after Mike’s diagnosis with Richter’s syndrome in April 2024.
During a meeting at The Red in Wales, Mike and Bruce made a pact that, once Mike had recovered from cancer and was ‘Totally Free’, Big Country and The Alarm would tour together in 2026, celebrating the greatest hits of both bands.
Both musicians were excited by the prospect of creating a unique hybrid Big Country and The Alarm experience.
The tour will now celebrate the music, friendship and enduring legacy of Mike Peters, ensuring his spirit remains at the heart of every performance.
Audiences can look forward to a special celebration of both bands’ greatest hits while honouring the life and musical legacy of Mike Peters.

About O2 Academy Oxford

The Edwardian building on Cowley Road has been hosting live music for decades. But prior to being a music venue, it was a Cooperative party hall. It was originally known as The Venue and then the much-respected Zodiac, both of which paved the way for O2 Academy Oxford, which officially launched in September 2007, with performances from New Young Pony Club, The Magic Numbers and Young Knives.
Since then, the O2 Academy Oxford has established itself as one of the city’s greatest venues for live music and club nights, with some of the best gigs to date coming from Ed Sheeran, Foals, Stereophonics, Ozzy Osbourne, Babyshambles, Hozier and Royal Blood. Visit the venue information page for further details, including opening times, getting there, age restrictions and more.
