About BunkFest 2026
On the banks of the Thames in South Oxfordshire, Wallingford BunkFest is a free-access community festival providing a unique, family-friendly celebration with something for everyone.
In 2026, BunkFest celebrates its 22nd year of life – starting from a small marquee in a pub car park to filling the KineCroft and providing entertainment throughout Wallingford, on the River Thames and the Bunk Railway line.

Friday Headline Act: The Delicate Sound of Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd tribute act The Delicate Sound of Pink Floyd is an acclaimed 11-piece band from Oxfordshire that has quickly built a reputation for exceptional musical precision and striking visual production since forming in 2023.
Inspired by Pink Floyd’s iconic touring line-ups of the 1980s and 1990s, the show delivers a powerful and immersive live experience, faithfully recreating the atmosphere and scale of one of rock music’s most influential acts.
Following sold-out performances, glowing reviews and a London West End debut last year, the band are now preparing to headline the main stage at BunkFest on Friday 4 September 2026.

Saturday Headline Act: Dr. Feelgood
Dr. Feelgood remain one of the world’s most enduring and electrifying rhythm and blues acts, more than 50 years after forming on Canvey Island in Essex in the early 1970s.
Renowned for their raw, uncompromising live performances, they achieved major success with the chart-topping album Stupidity and hit singles including Milk and Alcohol, Roxette, Down at the Doctors and Going Back Home.
Current line-up features Kevin Morris on drums and Phil Mitchell on bass, alongside guitarist Gordon Russell and vocalist Robert Kane, formerly of The Animals, and continues to tour following Damn Right! and Live in Caen world-class live act.

Sunday headliner: Blue Water Giants
The Blue Water Giants bring together seasoned musicians from iconic British acts, reimagining classic rock with fresh energy while performing the songs that originally defined their careers.
Led by Josh Phillips of Procol Harum, the all-British line-up features John ‘Rhino’ Edwards of Status Quo on bass, Neil Taylor (Tears for Fears, Robbie Williams) on guitar, and Mel Gaynor of Simple Minds on drums.
With careers spanning collaborations with Jeff Beck, Dexys Midnight Runners, The Faces, Mick Hucknall, The Pretenders, Mike Rutherford, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner and The Who, the band delivers authoritative, high-impact live performances and powerful modern supergroup identity.

Venues
In addition to the main stage, BunkFest has a fabulous range of fringe venues you can visit throughout the festival, which range from musical boats and singing trains to fantastic local pubs and a quirky bookshop.
Camping
BunkFest camping is located at the Wallingford Sports Park, Hithercroft Road, Wallingford, OX10 9RB. This is a 10 to 15-minute walk to the Town Centre / Kinecroft or 5 to 10 minutes on the BunkFest classic bus; this comes at a suggested donation of £1.00 per person.
Site A:
This area is for tents only and very close to facilities. Unfortunately, no vehicles are allowed in this area, but vehicles can be parked in the adjacent car parks, as directed by the campsite volunteers. Wheelbarrows are available to transport camping equipment to your camping area. There is space for a limited number of disabled camping pitches for motorhomes and campervans on this site. This enables close proximity to the Clubhouse, disabled toilets and BunkFest Bus.
Site B:
Camping for tents, caravans and motor homes. Close to facilities
Site C:
Camping for tents, caravans and motor homes, it is not far from the facilities and is ideal for family groups or groups of friends. Note there will be limited lighting and security fences.
Camping facilities
The camping facilities are equipped with showers, toilets and a fully licensed bar within the Clubhouse building.
Caravans and camper vans are welcome but must be booked onto Camp Site B or C.

The Pavilion Café in the Clubhouse will serve food throughout the festival, with hot food available at these times:

Getting there
Wallingford is located halfway between Oxford and Reading and easily accessible from the M4 and M40 motorways, train and bus. The Kinecroft, which is the main festival site, is located in the heart of the town.
By car
If you are going to BunkFest by car, please use the excellent Park & Ride service operated by Thames Travel from the Hithercroft Road Industrial area. It will operate on Friday evening and all day Saturday & Sunday.
Access via the A4130 Wallingford Bypass. The roundabout is the first one on the bypass heading south/east or after the level crossing heading north/west. Postcode for SatNav OX10 9RB.
Parking is in the Hithercroft Industrial Estate area. Please follow the Bunkfest signs on the bypass and look out for our Park and Ride signs and where you should meet our volunteer parking team.
By train
GWR run services from Oxford, Reading and London to the nearest local stations of Cholsey and Didcot. The Cholsey & Wallingford Railway will be operating trains from Cholsey Station to Wallingford over the festival weekend, with Wallingford Station only a 5-minute walk from the Kinecroft main stage.
It is possible to purchase a ‘Wallingford Rover’ ticket from local stations (Reading, Oxford, etc.) that is inclusive of travel on the ‘Bunk Line’. On Saturday, there will be additional evening trains departing Wallingford at 6.00pm on Saturday & Sunday, and 8.00pm, 10.00pm and 11.00pm on Saturday, so you can leave the car at home and also buy a pint (or two) at the station or on the train.

By Bus
Oxford to Wallingford – Buses leave from stop H5 in St Aldates, Oxford and pull up in Market Place, Wallingford.
Reading to Wallingford – Buses leave from opposite the Reading train station and pull up in Market Place, Wallingford.
Please note on BunkFest Saturday and Sunday, between 7.00am and 7.00pm, the town centre will be closed for the Street Fair. Bus stops in the town centre will be relocated to the High Street by the Museum / Library and Kinecroft / MMR building.
