Singer-songwriter Carmen Rose Davidson brings her new album ‘Sincerely Yours’ to Oxford this October, marking the culmination of a decade-long creative journey.
The evening promises to showcase Davidson’s unique approach to music – what she calls “contradiction as art form.” Blending theatrical glamour with raw authenticity, her sound refuses categorisation, drawing from Gospel, Blues Rock, Country, and 80s influences with equal passion.
‘Sincerely Yours’ represents Davidson’s most personal work yet, exploring mental health, the impact of eating disorders, scars of domestic violence, relationships, faith, love, and resilience with unflinching honesty.
The album was expedited following a personal loss earlier this year, adding urgency to songs that were already deeply felt.
Davidson’s credentials speak for themselves – performances at the BBC, The Roundhouse, Camden, and The Queen’s Jubilee have established her as a strong live performer. Her multicultural background and genre-blending approach create something distinctly her own in today’s music landscape.
