Crash Test Dummies

About Crash Test Dummies
One of the most recognisable voices in Canadian music, alternative rock band Crash Test Dummies are a three-time Grammy-nominated, JUNO Award-winning group who rose to global fame in the early 1990s with hits including Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm and Superman’s Song.
Their distinctive sound blends folk-tinged alternative rock with the unmistakable baritone of frontman Brad Roberts and Ellen Reid’s melodic vocal style. The band’s cover of The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead also featured on the soundtrack to the hit film Dumb and Dumber, further cementing their place in 90s music culture.
After a 20-year hiatus, the band reunited in 2018 for a special anniversary tour of God Shuffled His Feet, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response that has led to continued touring across North America, Europe and Australia.
Their dynamic live show features classic material performed by original members Brad Roberts, Ellen Reid, Dan Roberts and Mitch Dorge, alongside guitarist Stuart Cameron and keyboardist Leith Fleming-Smith, delivering a faithful and energetic celebration of their enduring catalogue.

About O2 Academy Oxford

The Edwardian building on Cowley Road has been hosting live music for decades. But prior to being a music venue, it was a Cooperative party hall. It was originally known as The Venue and then the much-respected Zodiac, both of which paved the way for O2 Academy Oxford, which officially launched in September 2007, with performances from New Young Pony Club, The Magic Numbers and Young Knives.
Since then, the O2 Academy Oxford has established itself as one of the city’s greatest venues for live music and club nights, with some of the best gigs to date coming from Ed Sheeran, Foals, Stereophonics, Ozzy Osbourne, Babyshambles, Hozier and Royal Blood. Visit the venue information page for further details, including opening times, getting there, age restrictions and more.
