About Eliza Carthy & Jon Boden’s Wassail

Following the success of their last visit, Eliza Carthy and Jon Boden return for another unforgettable evening of music and merriment.

Long before carolling became tradition, festive revellers would travel door to door, offering songs in exchange for food, drink, or coin. Rooted in the Old English waes hael meaning “be well” wassailing is a toast to health and happiness.

Two of the UK folk scene’s most celebrated artists unite for a nationwide wassail, blending their extraordinary talents to revive the magic of these age-old seasonal songs.

Join them for a night of festive cheer, timeless music, and a heartfelt celebration of tradition.
